Painting for a Purpose - Sail Away

Sailboats bring summer and open water to mind. Imagine sitting on a boat somewhere in a Greek island harbor, painting sailboats and basking in the sunshine. Come paint with us and let's sail away!

About the Event

This month you will learn palette knife painting. You will use a plastic palette knife to scrape different colors and amounts of paint in different directions across the canvas to create shapes and textures that would be difficult to achieve with a brush. Artists frequently use palette knives when painting en plein air (outdoors) because it is quick and adds a great deal of visual interest to a painting.
